there comes a time
They usually talked everyday, but about his homework. She was tutoring him. After all, he loved his art and that's all he thought about most days. But this was just crazy. "You and Kelly? How do you even know him?" He winced as he followed her toward the library.
"I don't, actually." She was indifferent, naturally.
"What would Darcy think, huh?" Blue went on to ask.
"You wouldn't?" She scowled.
"Just tell me, nothing is going on." He put his hand on her shoulder. He was serious. In all honesty, he'd grown to adore her in the last few weeks. She was a whiz at math and had even helped him with a term paper. She was more than a brain. She had beautiful eyes under those thick glasses, and he'd been wanting to touch those curls of hers, forever. Only, he hadn't because he was older and should be thinking of college and everything that went with her. But this was where he felt most comfortable. Here with Clare.
"Nothing is going on." She hugged her books then.
They found themselves their spot in the back corner of the library and put out their pens and paper and books and whatnot to begin that dreadful nonsense that Blue didn't want to think about. Homework. Naturally, she was so calm and not another word spoken about Kelly.
Blue couldn't take his eyes off her. He wanted her for himself. He found himself holding her hand then. The next thing he knew, they were kissing. Really, heavy duty kissing. He couldn't remember the last time he'd even kissed a girl. Actually. He knew everyone was beginning to think he'd be Riley's next conquest.
It was a sigh of relief, afterwards. He still had it. What a girl needed. And he knew it.
